Food Quarter: Reviews & Ratings
Happen to come here when they were running a promotion and it was pretty good. Ribs meal for under $10 for members. What an absolute deal! According to the receipt the price for the meal without the discount was $40. Generous serving or tender fall off the bone pork ribs, salad, a roasted potato and onion rings. The onion rings were probably the only part I didnt really like, they tasted like they had been in the freezer for too long. But the ribs were awesome Ordering was simple and there were plenty of seating.
We had an amazing dining experience at The Star Brisbane! The food was absolutely satisfying — juicy burgers stacked with fresh veggies, perfectly crispy fries, and the highlight of the night: saucy buffalo wings that hit the spot! For dessert, we had a slice of lemon meringue and a chocolate bar slice — both were indulgent and deliciously satisfying. The drink was refreshing too and paired perfectly with the meal. Special thanks to Dino Cruz for accommodating us — he’s incredibly kind and welcoming, and he made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend visiting Food Quarter at The Star, Brisbane if you’re around Brisbane and looking for great food and exceptional service.
Came for the February members special of $9.90 BBQ ribs. Not sure how much if any actual barbecuing was involved but the meat was tender and the bones had been cooked to chewable in some instances. It's a decent size serving with the baked potato helping to fill you up. No individual element on the plate was a standout for me but all pretty reasonable especially at this price It is inside the casino so only 18+ can enter. There isn't really much service to speak of. You queue at the entry to order and pay and get a buzzer to pick up your food inside when it's ready. Sit anywhere you want. The tables along the glass wall get better views. Water and cutlery is all available on a self service basis.
Views are great if you can get a window seat. We went around 11am and it was still quite quiet . Must be in between breakfast and lunch as the breakfast menu finishes at 10am. This gave us plenty of time to join up to the star membership which gives you a good discount on some of the food.. you have to go to guest services after signing up online but it’s literally just around the corner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. You order the food at one counter and then pick it up at another food station. I do think there was a coffee section you could order coffee and cake directly at though. The meals we got were $20 for members and $29 for nonmembers. The portion seemed generous but the food quality was average. We got the roast pork carvery meal and a sweet-and-sour duck . Both of the meats were a bit on the dry side . I wouldn’t complain at $20 for the meal, but if I’d paid $30 ( the non member price ) I wouldn’t be happy. By the time we finished just after 12, there was a lineup starting. So my guess is this place can get busy at peak times.
The monthly members' special is a great deal e.g. wagyu rump steak and sweet and sour duck etc. Look out for other specials too including Sunday roasts. Service is friendly, but there is no table service. Order at the counter, grab your buzzer, and then collect your food tray from the food counter when ready. Spacious, clean, and bright with ample seatings and a great view of South Bank. + Be a member to earn points and discounts
Wagyu rump and wine deal was awesome value and meat was tender! Have had it a few times this month and is well worth the price. Waitresses were also very attentive and friendly.
Great value, especially with their member deal! The service is good, and the food is tasty and satisfying. I really enjoy the view from the dining area. During busy hours, waiting times can stretch, so plan ahead if you are on a schedule. Overall, it is a good choice for a casual meal with perks. Will definitely return!
The BBQ pork ribs and sweet chilli lime were so good, really savoury and delicious. The staff were also very nice and friendly. Will definitely come back!
